Chaotic Sanctity
Words and Music by Amber Snider ©2002, Puddle Siren Music Publishing, ASCAP

Bonified Sexual commentary
And I’m sure you’ve got a health bone to pick with me
But I’m choosing my illusions so carefully
I’m choosing chaotic sanctity

Don’t talk just walk into the kitchen
Sit yourself down into the chair
I’ll hold onto your shoulders
And you can run your fingers through my hair

Moonlight beams off your sweaty brow
There is no other time or place besides here and now
You can be my Romeo and I your Juliette
And this will be the night that neither you or I
Ever forget

Come on baby hold on tight…. adore me…. Tonight
Your love, it moves straight through me and I’m choosing
Chaotic Sanc-ti-ty.

Bonified Sexual commentary
And I’m sure you’ve got a health bone to pick with me
But I’m choosing my illusions so carefully
I’m choosing chaotic sanctity

Don't Tell My Heart
Words and Music by Amber Snider ©2003,
Puddle Siren Music Publishing, ASCAP

I found me a new love, I hope it's a true love
But I don't really know where I stand
Sometimes you like to fight, you don't call, I stay up all night
But my poor heart won't understand

Save your breath and your dime, don't make that call
Cuz' my heart won't listen, won't listen at all

Don't tell my heart it's over
Cuz' my heart won't understand
I've got a stubborn heart
It's been proven again and again

I saw you just the other day
You said you were going my way
We haven't talked since then
I thought I'd hear from you, by now I usually do
I guess all good things must end

Save your breath and your dime, don't make that call
Cuz' my heart won't listen, won't listen at all

Don't tell my heart it's over
Cuz' my heart won't understand
I've got a stubborn heart
It's been proven again and again

Maybe I?m asking for too much.. A tender love, a warm touch
I guess it's just not part of the plan
But I'll make it through, I'll be alright Just stay home alone tonight
But my poor heart won't understand

Save your breath and your dime, don't make that call
Cuz' my heart won't listen, won't listen at all

Don't tell my heart it's over
Cuz' my heart won't understand
I've got a stubborn heart
It's been proven again and again

Sorry For Nothing
Written by Amber Snider © 2002
, Puddle Siren Music Publishing, ASCAP

Sorry for the things I said
Sorry for the things I did
Sorry for the way I am
Sorry for nothing

So I took a walk around the world, wanted to see the other side
But I couldn't get far enough, couldn't find a place to hide
I guess I got a long, guess I got a long way to go
Until I reach my peace of mind
I guess I got a long road to travel on
And a lot of waves to ride.

Sorry for the things I said
Sorry for the things I did
Sorry for the way I am
Sorry for nothing

I chased my illusions like it were a drug
I chased my confusion, didn't care where I ended up
I guess I got a long, guess I got a long way to go
If I'm to reach my peace of mind
Guess I got a long road to travel on
And a lot of waves to ride.

Sorry for the things I said
Sorry for the things I did
Sorry for the way I am
Sorry for nothing

I've made some mistakes, what I had to do
So have you but I never meant to hurt you
And I fell on my face, thought I was cool
Like a fool, but I never meant to desert you.

Sorry for the things I said
Sorry for the things I did
Sorry for the way I am
Sorry for nothing

Sweet Providence
Music and Words by Diana Wallis and Amber Snider
© 2008, Puddle Siren Music Publishing, ASCAP

How deep is your well?
Oh, how deep is your well?
Only time alone will tell.
Oh how deep is your well?

Sweet providence
Sweet providence
How long has it been?
Oh sweet providence

How long have you been lost?
Oh how long have you been lost?
Have you counted the cost?
Oh how long have you been lost?

Sweet providence
Oh sweet providence
How long has it been?
Oh sweet providence

How long have you been on the fence?
How long have you been on the fence?
You need sweet providence.
How long have you been on the fence?

Sweet providence
Oh sweet providence
How long has it been?
Oh sweet providence

Oh sweet providence
Oh sweet providence
How long has it been?
Oh sweet providence

Don't Say Love
Words and Music by Amber Snider © 2006, Puddle Siren Music Publishing, ASCAP

I've found myself amongst the ashes
I've seen the others leave as time passes

Take my hand, I will never have what you will take from me
Please understand, close your eyes and maybe you will see
You will see

Lost and lonely, if only you were here
Carry something, something very near

Take my hand, I will never have what you will take from me
Please understand, close your eyes and maybe you will see
You will see

Don't say love, don't say me
Love is not for free
It's not for the weary, not for the faint of heart
It's not for me

Be still don't say a word
It's all been heard before
I will look into your eyes
They always say more

Take my hand, I will never have what you will take from me
Please understand, close your eyes and maybe you will see
You will see

Take my hand, I will never have what you will take from me
Please understand, close your eyes and maybe you will see
You will see

Where Does It End?
Words and music by Amber Snider ©2003, Puddle Siren Music Publishing, ASCAP

Can you tell me the last time we kissed?
Can you tell me the last time you weren't pissed?
Can you tell me the last time you looked in my eyes?
Can you tell me the last time you even tried?

Where does it end? Where does it end?
Where does it end? Where does it end?

You're always mad about this and that
Why can't we just learn to love each other?
Yeah love each other like normal people try to do, well…

Maybe it's me
Maybe I'm the one that takes things to hard
Yeah, I'm looking for a man that doesn't throw up his hands and walk away
Every time he's been dealt the wrong card I know it's hard

Where does it end? Where does it end?
Where does it end? Where does it end?

You're always mad about this and that
Why can't we just learn to love, love, love, love each other like normal people try to do
I forgot that we're not normal we have so much damage to undo

Someone somewhere once said if you love somebody you should let them go let them go so maybe we should just let it go I mean where does it end anyway? Where does it end anyway? Where does it? Where does it?

You're always mad about this and that. Why can't we just learn to love, love, love, love each other each other like normal people try to do maybe one day we'll be normal we have so much damage to undo
Where does it end? Where does it end? Where does it end? It ends here

Yesterday’s Love
Words and Music by Amber Snider
©2005, Puddle Siren Music Publishing, ASCAP

What happened to days gone passed?
Where people, not trucks they were built to last?
Holding hands in the sun there were good times for everyone

Like covered wagons bound together
The kind of love that lasts forever
You be the hunter I’ll be the gatherer or the other way around it doesn’t really matter
We’ll share from the same platter

Sign on the dotted line don’t you worry; don’t you worry. You’ll get half of mine; half of mine
All through the days of histories tale when people stuck together through heaven and hell
Their words had meaning vows weren’t misleading
A vision of trust sent from above not to be swept under a rug
Cast aside and fueled by lies everybody wants that money prize

Sign on the dotted line don’t you worry; don’t you worry. You’ll get half of mine; half of mine
Yesterday’s Love Yesterday’s Love Yesterday’s Love Yesterday’s Love Yesterday’s Love
Yesterday’s Love was simple and strong today’s love’s got too many things wrong
Everybody wants a quick fix and the quick fix leads to destruction
Destruction of love destruction of trust the sacred unity is a bust
Cast aside fuel by lies everybody wants that money prize
Nothing left to do nothing left to say just pack those bags and call it a day
And sign, sign, sign, sign, sign away
Half of nothing is still nothing I’ve got half a mind to tell you something.
You’ve got half a heart.
The other half is tearing us apart now
Yesterday’s love, Yesterday’s Love

These Times, These Days
Words by Amber Snider Music by Jef Madnik ©2006, Puddle Siren Music Publishing, ASCAP

I wake up in the morning but I don't wanna go
I have to go to work know it's what I'm suppose to do
But I would rather stay here and have fun with you
Just fooling around doing the crazy things that we do

Even in these times, when it can get so bad
These are still the best of times
The best times, the best times we ever had

I wake up in the morning clothes piled on the floor
I take a deep breath as I run for the door
Everything will be here when I return
I'm headed for the ocean there's something I forgot to learn

Even in these times, when it can get so bad
These are still the best of times
The best times, the best times we ever had

Mmmmmm. Mmmmmm. Yeah. Everyday is a good day, when we're together.
It's a good day make it last forever.

Even in these times, when it can get so bad
These are still the best of times
The best times, the best times we ever had

Harder
Words and Music by Amber Snider ©2003,
Puddle Siren Music Publishing, ASCAP

If you want me to stay
Then you better think about what you say
A little bit harder

I said if you want me to stay
Then you better listen to what I have to say
A little bit harder
A little bit harder

If you don’t want me to go away
You’d better start kissing me another way
A little bit harder
A little bit harder

Unless you show me that you love me
And that you always thinking of me
It’ll drive me farther, farther away
If you don’t want me to go away
You’d better start kissing me another way
A little bit harder
A little bit harder

You’ve always been a tough man
And I’ve tried so hard to understand
But it’s driving me farther away
If you don’t want me to go away
You’d better start kissing me another way
A little bit harder
A little bit harder

The Other Side
Words and Music by Amber Snider
©2005, Puddle Siren Music Publishing, ASCAP

Maybe I can build a boat and sail far away from here
Maybe I can jump a train and only pack a couple beers
Maybe I can stretch my face, erase a couple years
Maybe I can dig a hole and pop up on the other side

Maybe I can coil away in a basket where the cobras lay
I’ll only come out when I hear flutes play
Maybe I can stow away in a moving van go far away
I’ll be hiding out like cargo freight on the other side

Any place would be better than the one I got, the one it’s not
If I could only get away from here, then I’d have no pain, I’d have no fear
I can go anywhere, anytime in my mind
You could come along for the ride… yeah… to the other side.

I can join an excavation team dig for bones things unseen
Sort through and figure out what they mean
Or I can join a carnival and see the world from a tilt-a-whirl
Eat candy apples everyday. On the other side.

Any place would be better than the one I got, the one it’s not
If I could only get away from here, then I’d have no pain, I’d have no fear
I can go anywhere, anytime in my mind
You could come along for the ride… yeah… to the other side.

On the other side
On the other side
On the other side
On the other side

Fool’s Gold
Words and Music by Amber Snider & Diana Wallis © 2008,
Puddle Siren Music Publishing, ASCAP

They came from Oklahoma in search of shiny gold
They mounted six fast horses
Their fortunes to unfold

In Virginia City the silver caught their eye
They stayed on through the winter and left with only five
They lost a man in Reno
Tucker was his name
He bet and lost his only horse in a poker game

In the great Sierras Jedadiah found his bride
She was a native maiden and he became part of her tribe

Maybe it’s the destination maybe it’s the journey too
What if the journey you’re after is right in front of you?
Is right in front of you

The last three would be miners arrived at Barbary
Where lonely Argonauts sought female company
Drawing men to the fates like moths to a fire
Liquor lust and lawlessness fed their wild desires

The last thing they remember was the lovely Laura lee
Serving drinks and kisses to the fortune seeking three
They woke the next morning Shanghai’d out to see
Sailing to a foreign land where gold would never be. Never be..

Maybe it’s the destination maybe it’s the journey too
What if the journey you’re after is right in front of you?
Is right in front of you

Maybe it’s the destination maybe it’s the journey too
What if the journey you’re after is right in front of you?
Is right in front of you

Should've Known Better
Words and music by Amber Snider ©2000, Puddle Siren Music Publishing, ASCAP

Everyday I remind myself of what I believe
Or else my faith might escape me
All of the love in my heart has been locked away
And baby, you hold the key

I should've known better, I guess I never learn
I don't ever realize what I have until it's gone

Now It's taking all of the strength that I have…
Not to hold on.

I guess all along I've known it though I've tried hard to disown it
They were my own insecurities

But now I've come to realize after having said all of my goodbyes,
that you're they only one, that I'll ever need

Sweet memories there you go again sneaking up on me
like a long lost friend

I see your face everywhere but I can't find another like you anywhere
You're a ghost who keeps haunting me

I should've known better, I guess I never learn
I don't ever realize what I have until it's gone

Now it's taking all of the strength that I have…
Not to hold on. And try to move on.

Sweet Sensation
Words by Amber Snider Music by Jef Madnik Copyright 2006, Puddle Siren Music Publishing, ASCAP

See the child in the sun, watch her crawl
Watch her run
See her smile ear to ear
Hesitation’s no where near
See the flower in the sun
Growing tall, smelled by everyone
See the thorns start to appear
As sweet sensations near

Evolution revolution elevation revelation
Evolution revolution sweet sensation

See the boy hair undone picks the flower shows everyone
Takes her away somewhere far
Keeps her alive in his jar

Evolution revolution elevation revelation
Evolution revolution sweet sensation

Another season passes by another gift from the sky
As we make way from seeds to grow and shelter them from the snow

Evolution revolution elevation revelation
Evolution revolution sweet sensation
Evolution revolution elevation revelation
Evolution revolution sweet sensation

Where My Buffalo Roam
Words by Amber Snider Music by Jef Madnik Copyright 2006, Puddle Siren Music Publishing, ASCAP

People always yelling in my ear
Not always telling me things that I want to hear
The lady down the street she’s yelling at her kids
She says get in the house and stop snivelin’’
I walk down the street on my way to the store
People act like they’ve never seen a white girl
They roll up, like, five homies deep
Yell “hey white girl” then I hear the tires screech
Policeman they knock at my door saying
“ Good evening have you heard any loud noises before like gunshots?”
What, I say, no I haven’t heard nothing have a nice day

What can I say its home, sweet home in the ghetto is where my buffalo roam
What can I say its home, sweet home in the ghetto is where my buffalo roam

What’s with the cars the cars that go boom?
It’s like three in the morning not the afternoon.
The bass is shaking every window on the block
The car speakers suck, I can’t hear myself talk
Since when are kids so damn mean?
They walk down the street yellin’ thing obscene
For no reason at all they kick over the trash
It’s not like it was directly in their path.
Sometimes they hangout by the tree
Slinging rocks? I don’t know. Drinking Old E?
I say “what’s up”, ya know, try to act cool then I end up looking like a fool

What can I say its home, sweet home in the ghetto is where my buffalo roam
What can I say its home, sweet home in the ghetto is where my buffalo roam

If only we could all just get along accept our differences, time to move on
Act with honor, respect and love; eliminate hate it’s time to rise above

Graffiti wars on the wall people want to rise up they want to stand tall
But they go about it in all the wrong ways and then it stays there for days and days
The city decides it needs a fresh coat of paint
When I see the man painting I applaud like he’s a saint I yell thank you at which point he laughs
Then I cross the street stepping over the trash

What can I say its home, sweet home in the ghetto is where my buffalo roam
What can I say its home, sweet home in the ghetto is where my buffalo roam
In the ghetto is where my buffalo roam

Hey Now
Words and Music by Amber Snider Copyright 2010, Puddle Siren Music Publishing, ASCAP

Hey now you know that ain't right
No, no, no
You think just because you are bigger than life
That you get to be a star

Hey now
You're a super star
Hey, hey now, hey now, hey now

Hey now Mr. GQ hey
Everybody knows when you got something to say
Maybe there's just one thing you left out
What's it really, what's it really, what's it really all about

Hey now
You're a super star
Hey, hey now, hey now, hey now

When you wish upon a star
It makes no difference who you are
Anything your heart desires will come to you honey
When you wish upon a star
It makes no difference who you are
anything your heart desires will come to you

Hey now you know that ain't right
No no no, no no no, no no no
You think just because you are bigger than life
Well you get to be a star
Hey now hey now hey now hey now
Hey now hey now hey now hey now
Hey now you know that I'm right

Eureka
Words and Music by Amber Snider Copyright 2010, Puddle Siren Music Publishing, ASCAP

In the midst of change I rearranged the items I held in my purse
We found a reason we could say, well, it could be much worse
And the truth is that we’re getting older and least likely to meltdown
The engine may have blew a gasket but our feet are still on solid ground

We came here to refresh our spirits, we heard these trees pump out good air
We slept in a cabin with pristine showers and the rest, well, I just don’t care
It doesn’t matter who’s fault it was. No one ever wins that game
The point is that we’re keeping cool and the result will remain the same

Eureka we found it, all fingers point straight to the sky
There’s no way around it, we’re keeping our heads held high

We walk down the street past all the shops and I play the plastic flute I bought
It doesn’t matter that I can’t play. “It makes me look sane” is what you say.
Looks like we’re stuck and we’re kinda far – at least we can play guitar
And we have the food we bought last night, it’s good right down to the last bite.

Looks like we’re stuck and we’re kind stuck and we’re kinda far
But at least we can play guitar
And we have the food we bought last night it’s good right down to the last bite

Eureka we found it, all fingers point straight to the sky
There’s no way around it, we’re keeping our heads held high

The hotel room smells like cigarettes and these cockroaches don’t make good pets
There are all kinds of stains on the floor and they forgot to put locks on our door
We light incense so that we can breath I think it’s time for us to leave
There’s gotta be a reason we landed here it’s something that we must believe

Eureka we found it, all fingers point straight to the sky
There’s no way around it, we’re keeping our heads held high

More Than Two Sides
Words and Music by Amber Snider Copyright 2010, Puddle Siren Music Publishing, ASCAP

Here I stand, I’ve been there two long
Make no mistake there’s been plenty wrong
I have waged wars and set off alarms
Make no mistake I have done my harm

There’s more than two sides to every story
The one’s we make up and the one that is
There’s more than two sides to every story
Good thing to know in a dream like this

It’s time to wake up, I’ve been in a daze
I keep searching for the map of this maze
What if we pulled back to a bird’s eye view?
Would I look like me would you still look like you?

There’s more than two sides to every story
The one’s we make up and the one that is
There’s more than two sides to every story
Good thing to know in a dream like this

I’ve seen tomorrow start from today
I’ve seen white light start from gray
I’ve stood my ground and I’ve walked away
I’ve pointed my finger and I’ve taken the blame

There’s more than two sides
There’s more than two sides
There’s more than two sides
There’s more than two sides

There’s more than two sides to every story
The one’s we make up and the one that is
There’s more than two sides to every story
Good thing to know in a dream like this

Frozen Inside
Words and Music by Amber Snider Copyright 2010, Puddle Siren Music Publishing, ASCAP

The boat was sinking and going fast
I was crawling on broken glass
Trying to find my way to the edge
Where I could jump in the water instead

Oh where or where does this rainbow end?
And will the colors wash out when it rains again?
Is it cold on the other side?
Will my butterflies be frozen inside?

Way up north where there’s ice and snow
There lived a country man by the name of Joe
He lost his kids and his wife
Then by a rope he lost his life

Oh where or where does this rainbow end?
And will the colors wash out when it rains again?
Is it cold on the other side?
Will my butterflies be frozen inside?

What will you do when your well runs dry
Would you fight like hell just to stay alive
What will you do when your crop runs out?
Will you start a war to figure it out?

Oh where or where does this rainbow end?
And will the colors wash out when it rains again?
Is it cold on the other side?
Will my butterflies be frozen inside?

Over The Hill
Words and Music by Amber Snider Copyright 2010, Puddle Siren Music Publishing, ASCAP
Over The Hill
She said I don’t want to hear another sad song
I want to hear something to put me in a better mood
I don’t want to hear another sad, love song
I don’t want to hear about all the things that have gone wrong. Gone Wrong.

Oh, brave beautiful soul
Don’t forget that you are perfect and whole
Just let your light shine and the world will reveal
Your path opens up over the hill.

Johnny came home from the war scarred for life
He said I just want to settle down and find a beautiful wife
Buy a big house paid for by Uncle Sam
It's the least they can do for me as messed up as I am

Oh, brave beautiful soul
Don’t forget that you are perfect and whole
Just let your light shine and the world will reveal
Your path opens up over the hill.

Billy’s young mother was diagnosed she only had maybe six months at most
He bravely took her hand and said what will I do?
Will I have to live with dad I’d rather live with you.
Live with you.

Oh, brave beautiful soul
Don’t forget that you are perfect and whole
Just let your light shine and the world will reveal
Your path opens up over the hill.
