Recently featured on KRON TV's "Best of the Bay" (segment is at 1:24 sec), Amber Snider (formerly Estrada) has been performing original music and carefully selected covers for over 10 years and has over 150 songs to date. Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Amber started playing music when she was 4 and writing songs when she was 12. Influenced by traditional blues, sixties and seventies classic rock, as well as current indie music, she is influenced by singer-songwriters as varied as Joni Mitchell, Johnny Cash, Diane Warren, Emmylou Harris, Jewel, Ani DiFranco, Brooke Aved, Diana Wallis, and Tori Amos. addition to Bay Area venues, fairs and festivals, Amber
has also been featured on television and radio. The Amber Snider Band Aaron Snider, lead guitarist, is a Napa Valley native with a unique style that fuses together rock, blues and Latin guitar. Dave Youdell, bass player, also from the Napa Valley with styles varying from reggae to blues to country (Aaron and Dave have played together since they were boys in their parents garages). Ram Hatley, on drums and percussion. Ram Hatley holds a B.A. in Jazz Performance from Long Island University. He was exposed to big band performance as well as Afro-Caribbean styles. Ram also attended Goddard College where he learned progressive jazz and improvisational theory. The Amber Snider Band is currently recording their first CD project together.
